Therefore, these sequences may be incorrect and should be used with extreme caution. Sequence documentation: All vector sequences were compared with their parent sequences and have the discrepancies noted. Parent sequences are themselves either cloning vectors present in VecBase, or original sequences from common DNA sequence databases. Parent sequence crossreferencing is extensive. Relevant entries from other databases are available, as well as VecSource (release 1), a database containing ancillary sequences neither present in VecBase nor in another database. Strand selection: For pUC vectors, both strands are in VecBase. The strand that shows the mRNA-sequence of the lacZ-polylinker region seems more appropriate, although the complementary strand has recently been published by Messing et al.
